CTET Exam 2024:-
The CTET exam consists of two papers, each catering to different groups of aspiring teachers:
Paper I (Primary Stage):
Intended for candidates looking to teach classes I to V.
Subjects include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
The objective is to evaluate candidates’ ability to teach younger children, focusing on their understanding of pedagogy and subject knowledge relevant to the primary level.
Paper II (Elementary Stage):
Designed for candidates aspiring to teach classes VI to VIII.
Mandatory sections cover Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, and Language II. Candidates must select either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science based on their specialization or preference.
The aim is to assess candidates’ teaching skills for higher elementary classes, emphasizing deeper subject knowledge and suitable pedagogical practices for older students.
CTET July 2024 Exam Summary
The CTET 2024 exam will be conducted to fill the various teaching positions across different schools in all over India. It is a offline OMR based test and here teachers will be recruited for the class 1 to 8. CBSE has released the official notification for the CTET 2024 exam on 7th March and the registration has also started for the same . The registration window will remain open till 2nd April 2024 followed by a brief correction window.

CTET July 2024 Eligibility Criteria
There’s not much of an age criteria for the CTET 2024 exam. However there are educational qualifications that one needs to fulfil to be eligible for the CTET exam in July 2024. Below we have mentioned all the necessary qualifications that you should have in order to be eligible for the exam.
- Graduation and passing or appearing in the first year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the first year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the first year of 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET Age Limit 2024
As per the CTET Notification 2024 for the July session, the minimum age limit to apply for the exam is 17 years. Whereas, there is no upper age to apply or appear for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

The online registration of the CTET 2024 has already started. You can register for it from the official website www.ctet.nic.in. The registration has started from 7th March 2024 and will remain open till 2024 (11:59 pm) followed by a correction window.
