Rules to win IPL Purple Cap

  • The Purple Cap Award is given to the player who takes the most wickets in an IPL match.
  • In IPL, wickets taken in Super Over are not considered valid and those wickets are not considered for Purple Cap.

  • A super economy rate bowler gets the Purple Cap for bowling a super over.
  • In IPL matches, if a player gets the Purple Cap for taking more wickets and if the player playing in your opposition takes more wickets than you, then that player will get the Purple Cap.
