Good news for the Mumbai people, finally Mumbai Coastal Road phase 2 is started on 10 June 2024, marking a significant milestone in the city’s infrastructure development. Mumbai Coastal Road Phase 2 was inaugurated by CM Eknath Shinde.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated the second phase of Dharmveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Coastal Road. It is a project that connects Worli and Marine Drive and reduces the travel time to 8 minutes.

This phase was accessible from 11 June 2024. It is the opening of the northbound carriageway from Marine Drive to Haji Ali. This is going to reduce travel time and ease traffic congestion between South Mumbai and the western suburbs.

Mumbai Coastal Road Phase 2 is a 10.58 km stretch connecting Marine Drive to the Worli end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It has 4+4 lanes, a bridge on stilts, an elevated road, and twin tunnels, with entry and exit points at Amarsons Garden, Haji Ali, and Worli Seaface.
