They are advised to spend these nights in prayer as per the instructions of Prophet Mohammed. During the final 10 days of the Ramadan month Itikaf, a Sunnat-al-Muaqidah is observed, this starts right after the sunset on 20th day and ends before Eid. Taraweeh prayers following the Isha prayers should be offered by every Muslim during the month of Ramadan. These prayers are usually done in mosques and should be done on a regular basis throughout the month. Furthermore Zakat is also an important part of Ramadan.
