IIT Madras has released the official notification for the JEE Advanced 2024. To find out the requirements for eligibility, test locations, and exam dates for JEE Advanced, candidates can consult the JEE Advanced information brochure. IIT Madras will begin accepting online registrations for JEE Advanced 2024 on April 21, 2024. April 30 is the deadline for JEE Advanced 2024 applications. Payment for the JEE Advanced 2024 Application Form 2024 is accepted through May 6th. The JEE Advanced 2024 registration link at jeeadv.ac.in will be updated by the authorities.

Candidates wishing to appear in JEE Advanced 2024  must submit the IIT JEE Advanced 2024 application form online before the last date. JEE Advanced 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 26, 2024. JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card will be available on jeeadv.ac.in from May 17 to 26. JEE Advanced registration date is available online at jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates must complete the JEE Advanced registration 2024 process by 30 April 2024 to appear for the entrance examination for JEE Advanced 2024. Candidates have to complete the initial registration, document upload, application fee payment and application form submission process.

 

Candidates must check the JEE Advanced 2024 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. JEE Advanced 2024 will be conducted as a computer-based examination in various test cities across 7 IIT zones. Two papers are conducted for JEE Advanced 2024  Paper I and II; It is mandatory to appear for both the papers. Step-by-Step Guide to JEE Advanced 2024 Admission Process

Step 1: Registration
Starting from April 21, 2024, candidates must register online on the official JEE Advanced website by filling in personal and academic details. The registration window will close on April 30, 2024.

 

Step 2: Application
During registration, applicants will complete an online application form, providing information such as Class 10 and 12 marks, category certificates (if applicable), and PwD certificates (if applicable).

Admit cards for JEE Advanced 2024 will be available for download from May 17 to May 26, 2024, on the official website. Candidates must download and print their admit cards to appear for the exam.

 

Step 6: JEE Advanced Exam
The exam will be conducted on May 26, 2024, comprising two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, each lasting three hours.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria

The requirements that each candidate must meet in order to be eligible to take the exam and proceed with the admissions process are known as the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria. Along with the brochure, the officials will make the JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria available online. Applicants who are determined to be ineligible will not be allowed to enter. The criteria for 75% class 12th has been reinstated by CDAC. To be considered for admission to NITs, IITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, candidates must receive at least 75% in their class 12 grades.

Qualifying Examination A candidate must appear in Class XII (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects for the first time in 2023 or 2024. Candidates who appeared for the first time in Class 12th (or equivalent) examination in 2022 or before are not eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024.
Number Of Attempts For JEE Advanced, candidates will be able to appear for the exam twice in two consecutive years.
IIT Admission Candidates should never take admission in IIT, irrespective of whether they have continued the program or have accepted a seat by reporting to the centre. Candidates who had earlier joined an IIT but later canceled their admission will also not be considered eligible for JEE Advanced.
Jee Mains Candidates must have qualified JEE Main exam and be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in the order of merit. The cutoff must also be met by the candidates for admission into IIT. Overall 10% general EWS category candidates will be shortlisted, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and the remaining 40.5% is open for all. The category distribution of top 250000 candidates is given in the table below.
