Maha Shivratri comes every year on Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in Phalgun month according to hindu calendar. This year we will celebrate Maha Shivratri on 8th march 2024.  Maha Shivratri holds the greatest significance among the all Masik Shivratris that come every month. On this day we celebrate the great union of Mahadev Shiv and Devi Shakti Mata Parvati.

  •  On Maha Shivratri we celebrate the purest and the great union of two powerful deities of Hinduism Lord Shiva and Shakti.
  • Literal meaning of the term Maha Shivratri is ‘The Great night of Shiva.’ 
  • It was the night when Devo Ke Dev Mahadev did a famous raging dance, the Tandava, related to the destruction of the universe
