The scope of work under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme includes the following:

Several measures can be taken to enhance the material and aesthetics of railway stations. An important aspect is to improve entry courtyards to create visual and welcoming spaces for travelers. This can be achieved by using engineering design techniques and materials in a cost-efficient manner. Additionally, older buildings need to be effectively relocated to make room for primary passenger activities and future development projects

Furthermore, construction of new buildings should be reduced, leaving only necessary relocations or improvements. This approach helps optimise resources and reduces unnecessary clutter of the station’s communications. Another important aspect is the provision of combined waiting halls and café/retail facilities. By bundling these facilities, passengers have the opportunity to access tailored services and facilities from one convenient location, improving their overall experience.

Additionally, it is important to allocate space for initiatives such as “One Station One Product” to promote local crafts and entrepreneurship. These initiatives not only support local economies but also contribute to the cultural richness of the station environment.

Additionally, space should be allocated for workspace lounges and small business interaction areas to cater to the needs of businessmen and other travelers. These places can provide a convenient environment for everyone.
