OSSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024
For the revised exam pattern for the OSSC CGL Exam 2024 has been shared below. There will be two stages in the exam. Stage-I: Prelims and Stage-II Mains Examination. Candidates need to clear both stages to move forward in the selection process.
Stage I: Preliminary Examination
- The OSSC CGL Prelims Exam will consist of only one paper.
- The exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Recruitment Examination mode (CBRE).
- The questions will be of objective type.
- 150 questions will be asked for 150 marks.
- A negative marking of 1/4th marks will be there if there are four options, and 1/3rd marks will take place upon three options.
- Candidates numbering about six (06) times of the vacancies category wise shall be shortlisted for Main written Examination based on their marks secured in the Preliminary Examination.
Stage II: Mains Written Examination
The exam pattern for the OSSC CGL 2024 main examination has been shared below.
- The questions will be short answers and objective type.
- The negative marking scheme will be applicable as equivalent to Prelims stage above.

- There won’t be any viva.
