Who is Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of Lucknow Super Giants?
Indian businessman Sanjiv Goenka is the proprietor of the Lucknow Super Giants. He was born in Kolkata, India on January 29, 1961, to Rama Prasad Goenka, who founded the well-known Indian industrial and services giant RPG Enterprise. Goenka attended IIT Kharagpur and graduated. His family is from Marwari. After the RPG group, led by his brother Harsh Goenka, was split off, Goenka became the leader of the RPSG group. He is involved in a variety of industries, including power and energy, carbon black manufacture, retail, media and entertainment, FMCG, infrastructure, and education. He formed the worldwide conglomerate RPSG Group in 2011. The Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) serves as the RPSG Group’s flagship enterprise. Sanjiv Goenka now has a net worth of $2.1 billion, or 16,500 crore rupees. He is India’s 83rd richest person in India.
Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024
The new Lucknow Super Giants team made it to the qualifiers in 2022, their first IPL season. The group is renowned for its fast-paced play and tenacity. It will be interesting to watch if LSG does this and more in the 2023 IPL. Andy Flower will be the coach and KL Rahul will be the captain of LSG in 2024. Gautam Gambhir, a former captain of KKR and batter for India, is the team mentor of LSG. The Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow serves as the home field for the Lucknow Super Giants.
