S. Jaishankar is an Indian diplomat and Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India from 30 May 2019. Born on January 9, 1955, he is a well-known politician because of his astute diplomacy and strategic vision. Before being hired as  Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India, he was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of parliament in the Rajya Sabha. He is the second diplomat appointed as India’s External affairs minister after Natwar Singh.
