The sudden demise of actor Noor Malabika Das has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, leaving her colleagues and fans in disbelief. Das, who rose to prominence with her roles in various projects including the 2023 legal drama “The Trial” alongside Kajol, was found dead in her flat in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area on June 6, at the age of 31. While the police are currently investigating the matter, the initial suspicion is that Das died by suicide.

Das was not only known for her on-screen talent but also for her active presence on social media platforms. With over 163K followers on Instagram, she often shared glimpses of her life, both on and off the sets, with her dedicated fan base. Her posts reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life, capturing moments with fellow actors and expressing messages of self-love and empowerment.
The circumstances surrounding Das’s death have raised questions and concerns within the industry. According to reports, her neighbors alerted the police after noticing a foul smell emanating from her flat. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and despite efforts to reach out to her family, Das was cremated by an NGO after no one came forward to claim her body.
In response to her tragic passing, the All India Cine Workers Association has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to initiate a thorough probe into Das’s death. In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, they emphasized the need for introspection within the film fraternity and underscored the importance of uncovering the truth surrounding such incidents.
