Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is the name of Mumbai International catering Mumbai city and Mumbai metropolitan Region. It is considered the busiest airport in the country after the Delhi International Airport. It initially went by the name Sahar Airport until 1999 it was re-named Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport after Chatrapati Shivaji of 17th century the Maratha Empire.

Navi Mumbai International Airport called D.B Patel International Airport is going to be the second international airport located at Ulwe, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and it will serve Mumbai along with the existing international airport.Â
Navy International Airport, Mumbai has its own, sustainable planned backup within its parameter landscape with a 151000 m sq fuel farm, three aircraft hangers, and a thoroughly planned and dedicated MRO facility. This airport is owned by CIDCO (26%) and MIAL(74%) and will be operated by Nabi Mumbai International Airport.
At present, it is announced that this airport will be open to the public and initiate the operation at 31st March 2025.
This airport plan is not yesterday’s planning coming to friction today. It was first laid out in November 1997. The future is a science-fictional dream development coming to fruition from Mumbai, Maharashtra accommodating many incoming and outgoing passengers.
