Delhi International Airport is named after the late and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and it is considered one of the busiest airports in the country in terms of Passenger traffic as well as cargo traffic. It can hold 3.6 million seats and has received many titles such as the 10th busiest airport in the world according to UK bases Air Consultancy Ranking, it also holds the title of being the busiest airport in Asia by Passenger traffic according to the Airports Council International Ranking

Indira Gandhi International Airport has three terminals where T1 and T2 serve the domestic carriers and T3 serves both international and domestic flights.


How to reach Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi


  • The best thing and a thing to brag about Delhi is its metro services, it takes you everywhere, nook and corner which is also a reason for Delhi’s migrant population rising consisting of many students coming from all over the country for its well-known top central universities. Delhi Metro station gate opens right at the gate of Terminal 3, a walkable distance from Terminal 2 yet there are options to not walk and be carried by airport transportation service to take you to the other adjacent terminal. The convenience of the Delhi Metro is widely known and if you have less luggage taking the metro is the cheapest, easiest, hassle-free travel. For this, you must take the Airport Express line.
