The Seventeenth season of the Indian Premier league is just around the corner. It is one of the  biggest festivals for cricket fans all around the world and in India. The first match of the tournament will be played on 22nd March 2024. Top players from 13 countries will be competing against each other in ten teams for the trophy of IPL.  As we are moving towards the tournament it is important that we understand and appreciate every components of team. In a team usually there are bowlers , batsmen, All rounders and Wicket Keepers. Today in this article we’ll discuss IPL  Highest wicket tankers.

Cricket is considered to be the game of Batsmen however, the bowlers has equally important role and sometimes even more to ensure the victory of their team. To honour that IPL board has decided to give a Purple Cap to the bowlers who take the highest wickets in the seasons. This purple cap comes with handsome cash reward and is a symbol of excellence. The winner of purple cap changes every season depending upon the performance of the Bowler. Furthermore, there is no restriction on Indian Premier league on the number how many times a per can win Purple cap in their career. The same is the case with woman’s premier league.
