UAN or Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12-digit unique identification number. It is generated for every employee contributing to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in India. - UAN Status: On the homepage, navigate yourself to the “UAN Status” section. You can find this section under the “Services” or “Dashboard” menu.

- Check Salary Slip: The UAN Number is typically provided on your salary slip by your employer. It is a 12-digit alphanumeric number. You can check this on your salary slip.
- Ask Employer: You can ask your employer for the UAN Number. Employers are required to provide UANs to their employees, so you can ask them anytime.
- Check Portal: If you are enabled to find the UAN number, then you check by visiting the EPFO’s Unified Member Portal (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/). There is an option called the “Know Your UAN” option under the “Important Links” section on the homepage.
- On the “Know Your UAN” page, enter the required details to find your UAN number. Required documents like Aadhaar, PAN, or EPF member ID with name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
- After entering details, verify your mobile number with the OTP. OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the received OTP (One-Time Password) on the field and validate your OTP.
