Before filling the examination form, candidates should read all the criteria related to the educational, eligibility, age, photograph and signature, documents, and other things.   3. Now click on new registration and sign in. 
  4. Register yourself with an email address and phone number and strong password. 
  5. After the registration fill the form using your basic personal details educational qualification details address mother and father details and other details

UGC NET Application Form 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates that advise to read the eligibility criteria thoroughly for NET UGC 2024 examination. Candidates who belong from general or general AWS category must have passed Masters degree or equivalent examination from any recognised university or institution with at least 55%. Other educational details are given in the table below with all details.

The candidates qualifying in the NET, based on a four-year undergraduate degree, will be eligible to apply online for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for admission to the Ph.D but not for Assistant Professor. They have to secured a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in four-year undergraduate degree

Relaxation for Reserved Categories Candidates belonging to reserved categories are granted a relaxation of 5% in qualification.
SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
Exemption for State Eligibility Test (SET) Candidates who have successfully cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) before June 1, 2002, are exempted from appearing for the UGC NET exam.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern for UGC NET 2024 will consist of two papers one and Paper 2. In which in paper 1 the number of questions will be 50 and in paper 2 the number of questions will be 100. Too much will be given for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking. This is how the paper one will be of 100 marks and paper will be of 200 marks. One hour will be provided for paper 1 and 2 hours will be provided to complete Paper number 2.
