The staff selection commission every year conducts a Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination on the national level to select Higher secondary qualified candidates for various offices and departments in the Government of India. Every year thousands of vacancies are issued by the staff  selection service SSC for various government departments through the SSC CHSL exam. Recently the Selection Commission has announced a detailed notification for SSC CHSL recruitment 2024 and the online  registration was started from 8th April 2024. SSC CHSL 2024 Notification: Overview

SSC CHSL exam is conducted for various posts such as junior secretariat assistant, postal assistant, lower divisional clerk sorting assistant, and data entry operators. The SSC every year conducts a Computer Based exam and a skill test to recruit assistants and clerks in its various departments. The staff service commission CHSL exam is conducted in two stages which are called tiers. Candidates who wish to clear this examination have to qualify in each stage. SSC CHSL Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the staff service commission Combined Higher Secondary Level exam 2024 such as personality educational qualification and agreement is mentioned below. 



The candidate should be either:

  •  an Indian Citizen or
  •  a citizen of Nepal, or
  •  a citizen of Bhutan, or
  •  an individual of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam who wish to permanently settle in India.

There will be two phases or tiers used in the SSC CHSL exam 2024 selection process.
