The Indian National Congress (INC) has emerged as the leading party, securing victory on 13 seats and gaining 12 seats compared to the previous elections. Following closely behind are the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), both winning 9 seats each. However, the BJP experienced a setback, losing 14 seats compared to its previous performance. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Sharad Pawar, has secured victory on 8 seats, marking a gain of 8 seats. The traditional ally of BJP, the Shiv Sena, has won 7 seats, losing 11 seats in comparison. Additionally, the NCP, as a separate entity, has clinched 1 seat, losing 3 seats. Furthermore, one seat has been won by other parties. These results signify significant shifts in the political landscape of Maharashtra, reflecting changes in voter preferences and alliances.
