  •  As announced by the Election Commission of India the General Elections 2024 will take place in seven phases
  •  As per the official data by ECI the total count of voters in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be 96.8 Crores.
  • In this Lok Sabha elections, there’ll be 1.8 crore first time voters and 19.47 crore voters between the age group of 20-29. The young India will be  participating in this election with great pomp.
  • As announced by the election commissioner of India , in 12 States the ratio of the female voters will be Higher as compared to the male voters in Lok sabha elections 2024.
  •  In this lok sabha election more than 85 Lakh first time Female voters will be exercising their right to vote.
  • There are 97 crore registered voters, 10.5 lakh polling stations, 1.5 crore polling officials and security staff, 55 lakh EVMs, and 4 lacs vehicles.
  • Growth in voter categories, with ~82 lakh PwDs, 2.2 lacs 100+, & 48k third-gender voters, reflects ECI’s commitment to inclusive rolls.
  •  The Indian General Elections are one of the biggest elections in the world. It is the world’s largest electoral movement of men and material. To perform this mammoth exercise 55 Lakh EVMs will be used.
  •    As per the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar the Lok Sabha election 2024 will be held for 543 Lok Sabha seats and will be conducted in 7 phases. Elections will start from April 19 and the counting will be held on June 4.
  • This will be the first general election after landmark events such as the abolition of Article 370, the creation of the Hindu Temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
  • In this election the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be running for prime minister post for the third consecutive time.
  • The Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general election, along with the by-elections for 35 seats among 16 states.

The Phase 3 elections will be held on May 7, and the deadline for candidate nominations is April 19. The third phase will include 12 states and union territories.

 

The Phase 4 elections will be held on May 13, with the deadline for candidate nominations being April 25.The fourth phase will encompass ten states and union territories.

 

The Phase 5 elections will be held on May 20, with the deadline for candidate nominations being May 3. The fifth phase will include eight states and union territories.

 

Phase 6 elections will be held on May 25; the deadline for candidate nominations is May 6.The sixth phase will include seven states and union territories.

 

The Phase 7 elections will be held on June 1, with the deadline for candidate nominations being May 14. The seventh phase will include eight states and union territories.
