The most expensive player sold in the IPL 2024 was Mitchell Starc from Australia. He was sold for a whopping 24.5 Crore to Kolkata Knight Riders. This amount also made him one of the most expensive players in the history of IPL till yet. Closely following himself was the World Cup winning captain Pat Cummins who was sold for a staggering 20.5 Crores to the Sunrisers Hyderabad. No other player in the history of IPL came close to this amount. Chennai Super Kings bought Daryll Mitchell for 14 Crore , making him third most expensive player of the IPL 2024. Apart from this Royal Challengers Bangalore also bought Alzarri Joseph for a whopping 11.5 crores.
