This year, Saudi Arabia announced Eid ul Adha on June 16, 2024. After the sighting of the dulha moon, which signals the beginning of one of the wholeest months of the Islamic calendar on Thursday, Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on June 16.

The Quran mentions the story and the beginning of Bakra Eid, where God commands Ibrahim to kill to prove his obedience to Allah, so Ibrahim plans to sacrifice his son, but Allah replaces his son’s with a sheep that was slaughtered instead of ismaile.
Eid ul adha aur Bakra Eid is the day for the sacrifice to show obedience to Allah. It is a memorial to the act of Ibrahim that he performed to prove his obedience and billingness to the command of Allah without questioning him.
Before Eid ul Adha, Arafat Day is celebrated, and this year, Arafat Day will be celebrated on June 15.
In many countries, like India, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, Eid ul Adha is a national holiday, according to the supreme court of the kingdom.
On the day of Bakra Eid or Eid ul Adha, people pray together and engage themselves in sacrificing and charity work where the meet of the slated animal, either a sheep or a goat, is given to the neighbourhood. People also give sadka to the hajj and the masjids.
The annual holy pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, one of the five pillars of Islam, is performed during this month.
Eid ul Adha is a national public holiday when the Muslim population is out with the schools and other works and prays together on a ground or some designated place after that qurbani is given.
Qurbani Rules
In the Quran, there are strict rules mentioned for qurbani that are mentioned below.
Name of the animals that can be secreted: lamb, camel, or sheep
Animals used for sacrifice must be in good health.
The animal to be slotted must have a certain age.
And the animal can be sacrificed by the rules and the way mentioned in halal in Islamic law.
The qurbani meat is divided into 3 parts: one part is donated to the poor, the second part is donated to friends, and the third part is consumed by itself to perform EID best with friends and family.

Charity work and sharing is one of the key things to do on the occasion of eid al adha, where some people give their money to the poor or to mosques for charity work while others share the slaughter meet with their friends, family, and neighborhood.
