Dua e Qunoot:-

Allah humma inna nasta-eenoka wa nastaghfiruka wa nu’minu bika wa natawakkalu alaika wa nusni alaikal khair, wa nashkuruka wala nakfuruka wa nakhla-oo wa natruku mai yafjuruka, Allah humma iyyaka na’budu wa laka nusalli wa nasjud; wa ilaika nas aaa wa nahfizu wa narju rahma taka wa nakhshaa azaabaka; inna azaabaka bil kuffari mulhik.

اَللَّهُمَّ إنا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَنُثْنِئْ عَلَيْكَ الخَيْرَ وَنَشْكُرُكَ وَلَا نَكْفُرُكَ وَنَخْلَعُ وَنَتْرُكُ مَنْ ئَّفْجُرُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَلَكَ نُصَلِّئ وَنَسْجُدُ وَإِلَيْكَ نَسْعأئ وَنَحْفِدُ وَنَرْجُو رَحْمَتَكَ وَنَخْشآئ عَذَابَكَ إِنَّ عَذَابَكَ بِالكُفَّارِ مُلْحَقٌ

Translation: “O Allah, we seek Your help, ask for Your forgiveness, believe in You, trust in You, and praise You for all the good. We are grateful to You and we do not disbelieve in You. We cast off and forsake those who disobey You. O Allah, You alone we worship, and to You alone we pray and prostrate, and with Your help we compete and strive. We hope for Your mercy and fear Your punishment, for indeed Your punishment will certainly reach the disbelievers.”




How to Perform Dua e Qunoot:-

Now, let’s discuss how to perform Dua e Qunoot-

  • Begin with the (niyyah) to perform the Witr prayer and recite Dua al-Qunoot.

  • Perform the Witr prayer as you usually do, followed by the two rak’ahs of Witr prayer-named Surah al-Fatihah (the opening chapter of the Quran) and another surah (chapter) from the Quran after Surah al-Fatihah,

  • Now, stand for Dua e Qunoot, raise your hands and begin reciting Dua e Qunoot prayer. You should place your hands in front of the chest or at the sides while doing Dua e Qunoot prayer.

  • You can choose any Dua e Qunoot prayer, which you feel is easy.

  • While performing Dua e Qunoot prayer, sincerely seek Allah’s mercy, guidance, protection and blessing.

  • After the Dua e Qunoot prayer, continue with your Witr prayer.

  • After completing Witr Prayer, add a special duas for yourself, your loved ones and the entire Muslim community.

  • That’s it, now you can go home.
