KKR vs SRH Match Highlights: Russell’s Heroics Lead KKR to Victory!
Yesterday was the Match 3 of Tata IPL 2024 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. KKR defeated SRH hy 4 runs. The pitch of Eden Gardens was a gift for all the cricket fans. The pitch flavoured batsmen because of which fans were able to witness some High octane batting performance from batsmen from both the sides. However Russell the Muscle stole the show with his staggering 64 runs from 25 balls. Giving SRH a target of humongous 209 runs. Even though SRH put all of their efforts, they were short 4 runs , which led to the first win of KKR in this season. KKR vs SRH 1st Innings Highlights
Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first giving KKR the chance to bat first. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine opened for KKR. While Phil Salt was off to a good start and making runs from one side , the wickets were falling quickly on the other side. Phil Salt managed to make 54 runs until he got out on the ball by Markande. While Ramandeep Singh and Rinku Singh tried their best to put some scores on the board. All it took was Andre Russell to put KKR in a day winning position. KKR vs SRH 2nd Innings
While chasing the target of 209 runs Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma opened for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They were off to a good start until their partnership broke off. After them players like Aiden Makram , Rahul Tripathi and Abdul Samad tried to put up some runs. But the major contribution came from Heinrich Klaasen. His 63 off 29 balls put SRH very close to winning. However on the second last ball of the match he got out with 4 more runs needed and the momentum broken down resulting to the loss of SRH.
