The Communist Party of India:  The Communist Party of India was established in the year 1925 in India. It is the oldest communist party in India. It has its headquarters in New Delhi. The Communist Party of India has the aim of establishing a socialist state. They wanted to spread the idea of equality among all. They did not want to have a Capitalist country. 

The Socialist Unity Centre of India : The Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) was established in 1948 on 24th April. Shibdas Ghosh was appointed as the Centre’s first General Secretary. He was the GS of the part until his death on 5th August 1976. The SUCI has taken inspiration from leaders like Marx, Lenin, Stalin, etc. 

The Bahujan Samaj Party:  The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was established in the year 1984. The party primarily aims to represent the lower sections of Hindu society, especially the members of the scheduled class, the scheduled tribes, and other backward classes. The Dalits who were considered to be untouchable in ancient India form the core group of the BSP. The party raised its voice against the caste system and provided equal rights to all sections of society irrespective of their caste, creed, and race. 

The Indian National Congress: The Indian National Congress (INC) is one of the momentous political groups in India. It was founded in the pre-independence era. INC forms a major part of Indian history and the freedom struggle of India. Under the guidance of the great leaders Mahatma Gandhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru, The Indian National Congress took shape. The Indian National Congress believed in equal rights for everyone, and secularism, as well as looked after the employment opportunities of the people. Even though the party faced many challenges, still they continued to work for the well-being of the people and the prosperity of the country.

The Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam : The Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam is a non-profit charitable organization based in Ernakulum. Sabu M. Jacob was the founder of this organization.

S. Radhakrishnan is contesting on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the Ernakulam Constituency. He is not only a politician but also a writer and a philosopher, shaping life. Presently he is the state vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Previously he was the Chairman of the Kerala Public Service Commission and before that, he was the Vice Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit. This is the first time he contesting under the ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Hibi Eden is the candidate for the Indian National Congress. His formal name is Hibi George Eden. He was the president of the National Students wing of the Indian National Congress NSUI.   He started his journey in politics in the year 2011.

KJ Shine is contesting on behalf of the Communist Party of India, Adv Anthony Judy under the ticket of Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam, Vayalar Jayakumar from Bahujan Samaj Party, Brahmakumar from Socialist Unity Centre Of India and Prathapan from Bahujan Dravida Party.

Ernakulam 2019 Lok Sabha election result

In the year 2019, the Indian National Congress won, with Hibi Eden being their representative. He defeated Alphons Kannanthanam of the Bharatiya Janata Party, VM Faizal of the Social Democratic Party of India, and  P Rajeev of the Communist Party of India and earned 491,263 votes out of the 12,09,44 registered voters. Indian National Congress also won the 2014 Lok Sabha election with K.V. Thomas as their representative and again in 2019 with Hibi Eden.
