The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has chosen not to publish a list of toppers for the Class 12 exams this year. This decision stems from a desire to alleviate the immense pressure that students often feel due to the competitive nature of academic rankings.
Instead of emphasizing individual achievements, CBSE is focusing on providing a comprehensive overview of the exam results. Alongside the announcement of the results, CBSE is sharing various statistics, including the overall pass percentage, noteworthy performances in different districts, and data categorized by gender, school, and region.
This decision isn’t new for CBSE; they made a similar choice last year to address concerns surrounding the unhealthy competition among students.
In terms of participation, a staggering 39 lakh candidates appeared for the CBSE Board exams in 2024, encompassing both Class 10 and 12 students. Among these examinees, an impressive 22,622 students managed to score more than 95% marks, showcasing the high level of academic excellence achieved by many.
Delhi, being one of the key regions, saw approximately 5.80 lakh students participating in the CBSE board exams this year. These exams were conducted across 877 examination centers in the national capital, reflecting the widespread reach and influence of CBSE’s educational assessments.
As of now, students can access their results on the official CBSE website by logging in with their credentials. This platform provides a convenient way for students to view their individual scores and compare their performance with the broader trends observed across the nation.
