Apart from being a politician, he is also an academician. He was also A professor of Economics and Social Sciences. He was also associated with the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore where he took up the duty of providing knowledge to the students on various subjects. He is also a Ph. D Scholar in Public Policy and Management from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
