Major parties at the election of Nagpur constituency
There were two major parties in the election of Nagpur they were INC and BJP
Indian National Congress which was founded by A. O. Hume in 1805 was the leading party in the election of Cuttack. Earlier when India was a British colony Indian National Congress played a vital role in making India independent.
BJP which has been the ruling party since 2014 was founded in 1955 in the form of Bhartiya Jan Sangh by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee who left Hindu Mahasabha to form it. Later after the revocation of the emergency various other parties merged with Bharatiya Jana Sangh and the Janata Party which later came to be known as Bharatiya Janata Party.
Candidates at Nagpur constituency
As per the data of Election Commission of India, this year Murlidhar Mohol is contesting election as the candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party from Nagpur Constituency. As per his affidavit he is a graduate business man having assets of 24.30 Crore and liabilities of 14.9 crore with an annual income of 11.8lac. As per him there are several cases against him which are pending and some of them are of serious nature.
As per the data of Election Commission of India, this year Ravindra Hemraj Dhangekar is contesting election as the candidate of Indian National Congress from Nagpur constituency. As per his election affidavit he is a 8th Pass candidate with assets of almost 8.2 crores with his jeweller business and liabilities of 71.2 lakhs. His annual income is 13.9 lac rupees and several criminal cases are also pending against him.
