5 Killed, 5 Injured in Blast at Explosives Factory in Nagpur

A massive explosion took place in a factory in Nagpur, Maharashtra on Thursday afternoon. In this accident, 5 people including 4 women died on the spot, while about 6 people are said to be seriously injured. Police said that this factory is located in Dhamna village of Nagpur, where explosives are prepared. The blast was so strong that the surrounding area trembled with its sound and people felt the sound far and wide. The nearby residents were asked to evacuate for safety. Moreover the sound of the blast travelled kilometres and shook everyone who heard it. As soon as teb news spread the Fire , police and medical department spontaneously reported to the spot and Started their relief efforts. Soon after, the Home minister of Maharashtra also reached the incident spot and oversaw the  relief process and assessed the damage that the blast had caused. The Clear reason for the blast is still unknown but the initial reason being told is the negligence on the part of workers and owner which endangered the life of both workers and the people living nearby.

Factory owner and the Manager currently on run

Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravindra Singhal said that a joint team of police and fire brigade has gone to the spot. All senior officers have also reached the spot. Our first priority is relief and rescue work. Right now the factory is being searched. According to the information, the owner and manager of this factory are on the run , they are being searched.

Home Minister Anil Deshmukh visited the factory

News agency ANI reported that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh reached the spot. He took stock of the damage and asked the police to investigate the cause of the blast. At present, the Maharashtra government has not announced any financial assistance for the families of the deceased.
